How does a Plant become Medicine?
A plant becomes medicine not only through its natural properties, but through the relationship we cultivate with it. For thousands of years, cacao has been honored by ancient cultures as a sacred plant ally for the heart, body, and spirit. Its medicine lies not in fixing us, but in helping us slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with ourselves.
Ceremonial cacao is made from the pure seeds of the cacao fruit, which grows directly from the trunk and branches of the cacao tree. Inside each cacao pod are powerful seeds — cacao beans — that are carefully harvested, fermented, dried, and stone-ground into a rich paste.
Through the fermentation process, the beans naturally develop their rich flavor, aroma, and many of their beneficial properties. Ceremonial cacao is naturally rich in minerals such as magnesium, iron, potassium, and calcium, as well as healthy natural fats that nourish the body and support a sense of grounding and connection.
Plant medicine does not "fix" us. Instead, it supports us in slowing down, feeling more deeply, remembering who we are, and reconnecting with ourselves.
With every sip of ceremonial cacao, you may experience a gentle opening from the mouth, through the throat, and into the heart, allowing awareness to move through the entire body. Cacao softens the mind, opens the heart, and invites us to reconnect with our inner truth. She responds to the intention, presence, and openness that we bring into ceremony.
Unlike stronger plant medicines, cacao works in a subtle yet profound way. She meets you exactly where you are — helping you slow down, listen inwardly, and reconnect to the wisdom already living within you.
As a therapist, Cacao Ceremonialist, and Heart Leader Coach, I create a safe and supportive space where you can slow down, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself. Through the gentle wisdom of ceremonial cacao, I guide you to open your heart, explore what is living within, and connect with your inner truth.
Together, we create space for reflection, healing, and self-discovery, allowing you to listen deeply to the wisdom of your own heart.
I look forward to welcoming you on Wednesday, October 28th, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm to a cacao and earth ceremony — a space to slow down, ground yourself, and open your heart.
