Cupping, IASTM and Kineso Taping
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is an advanced form of myofascial mobilization, similar to deep-tissue massage. It is primarily used to detect and release scar tissue, adhesions, and fascial restrictions. I can effectively locate adhesions and restrictions in the soft tissue through the vibrations or undulations that Fasciq instruments provide.
It often gets combined with Cupping Therapy. Cupping therapy can help support circulation, reduce joint pain and muscle soreness and help scar tissue problems. It can be used with static and dynamic techniques. With both techniques I use high quality products from Hawkgrips.
Kinesio Tape is the original elastic adhesive tape, you often see with (Sport) Athletes. Kinesio Tape can be applied in a lot of ways and can re-educate the neuromuscular system, reduce inflammation and helps lymphatic drainage, prevent injury and promote good circulation and healing. It can also be used to give a posture reminder. Kinesio Tape will be applied to the patient based upon evaluation.
